You’ve got freeware

News on August 21st, 2009 No Comments

We are officially discontinuing support for the IconBlock 1.1 OS X dashboard widget that was released earlier this year. After reviewing several proposals by our programming team, lead by Joshua Garnham, we felt that it was time for us to offer our followers and fans a bit more in terms of interactivity and content. So instead of releasing an improved version of the widget, we have began development a full blown Mac OSX application. This app will carry out all the basic functions of a compact RSS reader and much more. It will also include an alert system that will notify users the very instant freeware is released, this is just one of the many cool features you can look forward too. Best of all you can do all of this without even leaving your menu bar! The application will run entirely from your menu bar with neat menu’s so as not to clutter your screen and to remain as discrete as possible. Feel free to let us know what feature you think we should also include.

IconBlock 2.0

News on August 18th, 2009 No Comments

The wait is finally OVER! The IconBlock Ltd. is proud to present our brand new website, packed with tons of pixel goodness for everyone to enjoy. When we first started the redesign process we had 2 main objectives, create a modern web 2.0 aesthetic while maintaining a highly interactive user friendly environment, it is now easier than ever to download, preview and browse our freeware archives. In addition we added a portfolio section that showcases some of our client based work as well as contest entries. Previews have been added to each freeware wallpaper and icon release as a direct result of your email suggestions & recommendations. We hope you enjoy the new site and we look forward to providing you with tons more freeware content in the years to come.
